About the Lemon Tree Restaurant

Tucked away along Crane Street , just around the corner from the Cathedral, can be found The Lemon Tree Restaurant. The Lemon Tree has now been running for a year, and in that time has seen considerable change. The new owner, Chris Hayden, has realised his dream by creating a warm, friendly and relaxed restaurant where the emphasis is on good flavoursome food and efficient unobtrusive service. He can often be found chatting to regular customers and offering new customers a warm welcome. At other times he can be seen in the kitchen, where it is obvious he enjoys creating mouth watering dishes to add to the menu.

Previously known as l'herison, the delicatessen has now been replaced by a welcoming and spacious seating area where you can enjoy a quick cup of coffee while relaxing on the comfortable sofas or sip a glass of wine whilst waiting for your table in the restaurant.

The light and airy feel of the conservatory is maintained in the lower part of the restaurant, with clothed tables giving it an overall elegant look. The pretty courtyard garden gives additional seating on warm days and is ideal for those long summer evenings.

Opening times of 10 am ‘til 10 pm Monday to Saturday, have given Salisbury a new and elegant restaurant for diners who enjoy eating out in the evening. The extensive menu is available throughout the day and offers great value for money, whether you are looking for a quick lunch, pre-theatre dining or a long sociable meal with friends or family. Most of the dishes are cooked to order and are made from the freshest and best quality ingredients Chris can get. Starters include such delights as; Pear and brie toasts, roast mozzarella and baked advocado filled with liptoi cheese and sour cream. These can be followed by equally tempting; tipsy chicken, pork and apricots or simply delicious diane en crouté to name but a few. If you have room for dessert there is a wide choice which often changes daily but includes such favourites as apricot and ginger meringue, tarte au citron and Chris' well known chocolate and caramel cheesecake.

The restaurant also holds regular live music nights, where you can enjoy a superb four course meal whilst lapping up the atmosphere of live performances from local artists such as, the Jim Driscoll Jazz duo, Katie Louise and Tabula Rasa.

The Lemon Tree is an ideal venue for many occasions from family get togethers, works functions to Christmas parties, whether you just want a large table or exclusive use of the restaurant, Chris is always happy to discuss your requirements.
