Productions was formed initially to cater for a small number of clients using a radically new method of business. Little did we know how quickly word would get around..
Most of our team had worked for corporate employers at one time or another and all of us knew that we were capable of offering clients a much better service. Often critical of 'one man bands', such companies justified their excessive costs and lengthy development processes as "a professional service", whilst utilising the one man band approach themselves!
Usually only interested in "getting the sale", racking up a huge amount of backlogged work and then ignoring a client, constant disagreements broke out between sales team and client. Costs were expensive as there were offices, overheads, salaries and expenses to be paid for whether the staff were working or not, and that cost was usually always passed on to the client. Low-skilled trainees were given client facing tasks with little assistance and the client was billed for the additional time spent working on their website. Standards were poor, and morale was low.
We decided 'enough was enough' and Two For Joy Productions was born. We now have a portfolio of over 25 satisfied clients, who we continue to communicate with on a regular basis, and we thank every one of them for their trust and business!
The TFJ Philosphy:
We never charge a client for 'learning on the job', simply because we don't practice that approach. We have a pool of experts who are at the top of their field, who can complete each task quickly and efficiently. Sure, their exceptional skills may cost a little more than a 'jack of all trades' developer, but they finish the job faster and to a professional standard, so more often than not the overall long term cost is reduced.
One of the options we always wanted to offer our clients was Control. The ability to update their own website using a clear visual interface - just like using MS Word. This is offered as standard with all our websites, and not bolted on as a rigid and inflexible 'extra'.
By offering our clients sound and useful advice we give them control over what they can expect from their website, and how they should use it once the development is complete. All our clients understand how to maximise the earning potential of their new website, and how to keep it performing efficiently.
We also operate a "no corporate/sales jargon" policy. It's boring to listen to and takes far too long to write down. We let our portfolio be our voice, we let our proven track record be our sales manager and our happy customers happily act as our 'sales team'.
This does not mean to say that we don't know how to present your website so that its capability for generating awareness and revenue is diminished in any way - we just know how to use the right words - at the right place and time.
